(she/her)
Owner and Clinical Psychologist
I get that you feel like no one understands and there is no possible way out of this pain.
You have been trying desperately to dig yourself out of this hole, and the hole just appears to be growing. You feel lost, scared, alone and exhausted. You know deep down that you cannot continue to live in survival mode anymore and you want to feel alive.
That’s where I come in. I am committed to sorting through the chaos of your mind and helping you figure out what YOU want.
Not what society or others say is best for you, but what YOU truly want. We will look at the ways that you are stuck in your life and help you move towards what you really care about.
I have been told I am not the traditional therapist you think of. Yes, sure, I will offer you tools and skills to help you, but the way I really see the difference I will make in your life is by changing the way you see and interact with yourself and your world.
Seriously, no joke, I am telling you there is a different way to do it, you just don’t know it yet. Your family didn’t teach you, society didn’t teach you, but that’s ok, I’ve got you.
Contrary to popular thought, I am a real person too. I am not immune to the same negative thoughts, feelings, and worries that you have and I SOOO get it. I will connect in your pain but won’t let you hang out and wallow in your negative thoughts alone.
I will challenge you to look at the way you are seeing and doing things and encourage you to try new ways that will be more effective.
Trust me, I’ve walked this walk myself. I have also worked with many clients who thought there was NO WAY out of their pain, but now are able to relate to their pain differently.
So why keep waiting for your life to finally start? Let’s do this thing!
My Approach
At the core of my approach is a neurodivergent affirming lens including providing lots of information on how your brain and nervous system work. My therapeutic approach is very collaborative. You are the expert on yourself and your own life, while my role is to help you realize your values, your true potential, and navigate the barriers that stand in the way of your dreams.
I practice from an integrated approach with various evidence-based therapies depending on your specific needs. I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
